Self-Equalized Distributed Amplifier for Wide Band Optical Transceivers
A novel technique for a self-equalized distributed amplifier is presented by showing the analogy between transversal filters and distributed amplifier topologies. The appropriate delay and gain coefficients of amplifier circuit are obtained by a Fourier expansion of the raised cosine spectrum in the frequency range of 0-40GHz.

متن کاملLinearity Performance of Outphasing Power Amplifier Systems
As discussed in Chapter 1, in an outphasing power amplifier system, the AM of a bandpass waveform is transformed into PM of two signals prior to power amplification, and finally recovered by recombining the two amplified signals. As shown in Figure 1.16, with this approach, two highly efficient nonlinear power amplifiers can be used without distorting the original signal. This is the main advan...
متن کاملA new wide-band amplifier technique
This paper describes a technique for the design oftwo-signal four-quadrant multipliers, Iiiear on both inputs and use-ful from dc to an upper frequency very close to the -f~of the transis-tors comprising the circuit. The precision of the product is shown tobe limited primarily by the matchmg of the transistors, particularlywith reference to emitter-junction areas. Expression...
متن کاملDesign of an S-band Ultra-low-noise Amplifier with Frequency Band Switching Capability
In this paper, an ultra-low-noise amplifier with frequency band switching capability is designed, simulated and fabricated. The two frequency ranges of this amplifier consist of the 2.4 to 2.5 GHz and 3.1 GHz to 3.15 GHz frequency bands. The designed amplifier has a noise figure of less than 1dB, a minimum gain of 23 dB and a VSWR of less than 2 in the whole frequency band. The design process s...
